EXECUTIVE BIOS
R. Patrick JohnsonChairman & CEO
Founded Precision Automated Technology in 1994, following many years of experience in industrial automation sales, engineering, management, and other business enterprises. Has invented automation systems, devices and equipment currently in use in the bakery & food processing industries, as well as electronics fabrication and assembly, automotive and automotive aftermarket, aluminum extrusion, textiles, animation, and law enforcement. Holds several patents and copyrights. Has published articles in various technical journals. Has created many conceptual designs, which are the basis for Precisionšs product offerings.
Has used education, innovation, and prior experience to establish sound business organization and financial basis for successful operation of a growing entrepreneurial industrial automation company. Continues to be involved in daily operations as well as a very active role in developing sales and marketing channels including new business alliances, continuing customer relationships, developing new marketable technologies, and exploring new opportunities and industries into which we may expand our product lines. Committed to continual improvement of our product lines, support of equipment and customers.
Guided and managed the growth of the company over 10 years from 3 employees in 3,600 sq ft leased space to 14 employees in our own 17,000 sq ft facility.
Jim WendlerPresident and COO
Jim has been serving as President since July, 2003 and prior to that time served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the company since March 2003. Jim brings with him many valuable years of experience in the operation of both large and small companies. He has helped install a number of internal processes in our company that position us well for stability as well as growth in the future.
Jim received his degree in accounting from Colorado State University and his MBA from University of Washington in banking and finance. Jim is a member of the board of directors of the company.
Ryan ParkVice President of Engineering and Development
Is Precisionšs 1st and longest serving employee, since 1994. Assumes multiple responsibilities as: Project Engineer, Project Manager, and Computer Systems Manager. Has primary responsibility for all engineering and shop staff. Has over 13 years experience in Computer Aided Design, 9 Years of Project Engineering & Management, and 3 Years of Operations Management. Did the original mechanical design on many of Precisionšs products, including paper cup denester, depanning system, intelligent conveyors, pizza docking system, compression packaging system for hosiery, robotics.
Instrumental in development of the Precision design philosophy: Start with sound engineering design, build it stronger, tougher, and more rugged, equip it with reliable electronics, test, test, test, spend the extra money for premium components, insist on top quality workmanship.
Proficient in managing multiple engineering/fabrication projects, and multiple engineers. Extensive experience in managing electrical, mechanical, production/assembly shop operations as well as job flow and progress, inventory, service and parts. Does triple duty as the IT and Network specialist. Has veto power over sales, to assure our marketing efforts do not get ahead of our technology and commitment to deliver quality equipment to customers. All design and detail work built in AutoCAD 2000 or SolidWorks 3D software. Ryan is a member of the board of directors of the company.
