TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
- PLC CONTROLS
Our electrical engineering staff has extensive experience in programming and networking Allen-Bradley, Omron, GE/Fanuc, Siemens VME Bus and several others.
- PNEUMATIC ACTUATION
We have extensive experience in controlling pneumatic motion with PLC/Solenoid/Sensor intelligence. We can control straight-line or rotary motion, including innovative soft-stop, two speed actuation and accurate incremental mid-stroke positioning.
- SERVO MOTION CONTROL
Using servo control we can accurately position and control the sequencing of conveyors and linear motion devices. With multiple controls we can provide multi axis systems operating simultaneously allowing high-speed repetitive motion picking, placing and indexing systems.
- REPETITIVE MOTION PICK & PLACE, UP TO 6 AXIS ROBOTICS
Using the control and actuation described above, we have created many unique combinations of work cells and systems.
- VISION/CAMERA INSPECTION
We can integrate vision inspection systems from Allen-Bradley, Omron, and several others.
- PRECISE CONVEYORIZATION/INDEXING, NON-CONTACT SENSING
Most of our systems require accurate positioning or indexing during assembly or processing of the product. We use encoders, optical, proximity, infrared, sonic, and vision systems as required.
ENGINEERING AND MANUFACTURING CAPABILITIES
- MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
We provide complete mechanical design using AutoCAD 2000. All drawings are complete and updated per as-built, allowing efficient re-design and modification of equipment per project specific requirements.
- ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING
All electrical design and control circuitry, as well as pneumatic or hydraulic circuitry is designed on AutoCAD, using standard symbolic notation.
- FABRICATION
Our fabrication equipment includes CNC milling machines, lathe, saws, presses, and welders. We have inspection equipment capable of measuring tolerances to .0005". We are adept at working a variety of materials, i.e. alloy and stainless steel, aluminum, along with all polymers.
- ASSEMBLY AND TEST
We have a staff and shop bay equipped with the latest in tools and equipment designated for assembly and testing of projects. The shop is supplied with 480, 230, 120 VAC power in single and 3-phase power along with an air compressor capacity of 240 CFM. Prior to shipment, all projects are tested in simulated plant operating environments to assure compliance with project design and performance specifications.
QUICK-TURNAROUND PROTOTYPE DESIGN AND TESTING
We have the capability to quickly design and build prototypes or subsystems for validation of new designs. All of our new systems for material handling, packaging or processes are prototyped before committing to production systems.
REBUILDING, UPGRADES OF EXISTING EQUIPMENT
We can remanufacture to original factory specifications many types of equipment. We have a unique expertise in making new tooling for equipment for which factory tooling is no longer available. Precision can rebuild and provide tooling for imported equipment which is very expensive, or for which normal lead times are unreasonably long.
We can replace outdated electrical and mechanical controls with simple, reliable PLC controls and state-of-the-art electronics and sensors.
