Robotic Machine Tending

Machine tending robots assist other manufacturing equipment during production by feeding parts in and out of the machine. These robots provide a safe and reliable alternative to manual machine tending as this type of work is often dull or dangerous and requires consistency. Robots can tend all manner of machine from injection molding machines to high-temperature baking ovens.

    • CNC Milling – load and unload CNC milling machines
    • Injection Molding – robotically remove freshly molded parts
    • Die cast parts handling
    • Pan Exchange –Load and unload baking pans for product changeover on automated baking lines without interruption to production
    • Press to press sheet metal handling
    • Cost savings – Reduce labor costs, rework, and accidents while increase machine utilization
    • Repeatability – Robotic machine tending is consistant and accurate and will minimize problems relating to incorrect part placement
    • Productivity – Robots can run 24 hours/day without distraction or fatigue
    • Safety – Workers are spared from interfacing with dangerous machines and/or environments
  • System controls coordinate the interaction between Robot and machine. Parts enter robot cell for machine loading task. The robot places a part into the machine for processing. Following processing, the completed part is removed and placed in a designated bin, tray, or on a conveyor for subsequent processing.
