Robotic Pick & Place

Pick and place robots move product or parts from one location to another at accelerated rates with pin point accuracy. They overcome the challenges of repetitive motion injuries and quality variance inherent in human pick and place application. Pick and place robots increase production quality and throughput while decreasing production costs and inconsistency. These agile robots can be equipped with 2D vision systems, conveyor tracking technology, and perform up to 200 cycles per minute.

    • FAST ASSEMBLY – robot can pick parts from incoming conveyor and assemble them onto work pieces carried by an outgoing conveyor with high precision.
    • INSPECTION AND QUALITY CONTROL – robot visually inspects product and removes defects from fast moving conveyor.
    • FAST PACKAGING – vision locates products spread out on moving conveyor and then the robot transfers them into packaging containers at a high speed.
    • FAST SORTATION – robot instantaneously picks and separates different types of parts passing through its vision domain.
    • Precision part/component placement with high repeatability
    • Exceeds human capacity in speed and accuracy
    • Automate processes that involve fast-moving conveyors
    • Provides extremely high speed output
    • Executes multiple functions with multiple product types
    • Reduces placement error
    • Easily Integrates with 2D vision system
  • Pick and place robots are mounted either alongside or directly over the conveyance system to allow access to the entire work space. Product enters the robot work envelope after its orientation has been identified by upstream sensors or vision system. Using custom tooling, the product is picked then placed by the robot to the desired location. Vision systems can provide pass/fail inspection based on client defined specifications for length, straightness, shape, etc.
